Good science vs. great science

Good science is rigorously following the scientific method. It is about minimizing assumptions, prejudices, and human fallacies. Good science is the unbiased collection and analysis of evidence to answer a question.

Great science is more concerned with asking questions. It is about innovation, insightfulness, and the undaunted exploration of the outer boundaries of human thought and artistic creativity. Great science is asking questions no one else is asking.

To try to understand greatness in science, I am starting a new podcast called Recreational Science (@RecSciPod), where my cohost and I discuss published studies that asked questions no on else was asking. Please join us on this journey to explore scientific creativity by listening here or subscribing to Recreational Science on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube Music, and everywhere great podcasts are found.
